Saint Gregory of Narek — A tenth-century monk, mystic, and Doctor of the Church, whose Book of Lamentations remains one of the most profound works of Christian mystical literature ever written. Saint Ignatius Maloyan — Archbishop of Mardin, martyred in 1915 during the Armenian Genocide after refusing to renounce his Catholic faith and convert to Islam. Beatified in 2001, he was formally canonized a saint on October 19, 2025.
Saint Gomidas Keumurdjian — A married Armenian priest who converted from the Armenian Apostolic Church to Catholicism and was martyred in Constantinople in 1707 for refusing to abandon his new faith. Beatified in 1929, he was canonized alongside Saint Ignatius Maloyan on October 19, 2025.
