Saint Khosrovidukht Prayer Card – Patron for Healing Broken Families, Spiritual Insight in Crisis & Courage to Trust God’s Direction

$3.00

Saint Khosrovidukht was an Armenian royal saint whose quiet spiritual discernment helped unlock one of the most important conversions in Christian history. She is venerated in the Armenian Apostolic Church and honored by Eastern Catholics and Orthodox Christians as a woman whose obedience to divine prompting restored her brother, healed a broken kingdom, and opened the door for Armenia to become the first Christian nation.

Her principal feast is celebrated on December 18 in the Armenian tradition, alongside her brother King Tiridates III and Saint Gregory the Illuminator.

Saint Khosrovidukht did not command armies. She listened.

She lived inside royal power, surrounded by political instability and spiritual darkness, yet her role in Armenia’s conversion came through interior clarity rather than public authority. When her brother Tiridates descended into madness after years of violent persecution of Christians, it was Khosrovidukht who received divine insight through prayer and visions, revealing that only Gregory the Illuminator, imprisoned and presumed dead, could bring healing.

People pray to Saint Khosrovidukht today for healing in fractured families, for spiritual clarity during crisis, and for courage to follow God’s direction when logic fails. She understands what it feels like to love someone who has lost their way. She understands the ache of watching mental and emotional collapse unfold in someone close to you. She understands how terrifying it is to act on faith when everyone else sees impossibility.

She also understands how obedience opens miracles.

This prayer card is for siblings praying for siblings, for families navigating mental or emotional breakdown, and for believers learning to trust God’s voice when circumstances feel irreversible. Saint Khosrovidukht does not seek recognition. She teaches faithful listening.

  • THE LIFE & STORY OF SAINT KHOSROVIDUKHT

Saint Khosrovidukht lived in the early fourth century as the sister of King Tiridates III of Armenia. She grew up within the royal household during a period marked by political brutality and spiritual confusion. Armenia remained officially pagan, and her brother ruled with violence, especially toward Christians.

While historical records focus heavily on Tiridates and Gregory, Armenian tradition preserves Khosrovidukht as a woman of prayer and interior strength. She witnessed firsthand the imprisonment of Gregory the Illuminator, who was thrown into a deep pit for over a decade because of his Christian faith.

    Life continued.

    Power remained in pagan hands.

    Gregory was forgotten.

    Then everything collapsed.

After ordering the execution of Saint Hripsime and Saint Gayane, Tiridates suffered a complete mental breakdown. He lost rational control, behaving wildly and violently. Physicians failed. Advisors were powerless. Armenia stood on the brink of chaos.

    It was Khosrovidukht who prayed.

Through repeated visions, she was shown that Gregory still lived and that only he could heal the king. She brought this message to the court, insisting they retrieve Gregory from his prison.

No one believed her at first.

Gregory had been entombed for years. Survival seemed impossible.

    Yet Khosrovidukht persisted.

Her spiritual conviction overcame political skepticism. Gregory was pulled from the pit, weak but alive. He prayed over Tiridates, who was immediately restored. The king repented, was baptized, and declared Christianity the official faith of Armenia in 301 AD.

Khosrovidukht did not perform the healing.

    She made it possible.

    Her interior struggle was immense.

She carried grief over her brother’s violence.
She endured fear while the kingdom destabilized.
She trusted God when everything looked beyond repair.

After Armenia’s conversion, she withdrew from royal life and lived in prayerful seclusion near Garni, dedicating herself to contemplation until her death.

Saint Khosrovidukht teaches that spiritual breakthroughs often begin with one person willing to listen.
