$3.00

Saint Peter and Saint Fevronia of Murom are among Eastern Christianity’s most beloved married saints, venerated deeply in the Eastern Orthodox Church and honored by Eastern Catholics as living icons of sacrificial love, covenant faithfulness, and emotional healing within marriage. Their feast day is celebrated on July 8 in the Eastern calendar.

People pray to Peter and Fevronia when marriages feel fragile.
When communication has broken down.
When betrayal has wounded trust.
When emotional distance grows quiet and heavy.
When couples wonder if love can be rebuilt.

Their story is not sentimental.

It is honest.

It begins with illness, rejection, misunderstanding, and costly choices.

Peter was a prince, strong and respected, but struck with a mysterious and disfiguring disease after battling evil forces threatening his kingdom. No physician could heal him. His suffering led him to Fevronia, a humble village woman known for wisdom and spiritual insight. She agreed to heal him, but only if he would honor her as his wife.

He agreed.

She healed him.

And then he broke his word.

The illness returned.

Only when Peter repented and returned to Fevronia in humility was he fully healed.

That moment shaped their entire life together.

Peter chose love over pride.
Fevronia chose forgiveness over resentment.
Together they chose covenant over convenience.

Today, Saint Peter and Saint Fevronia are prayed to by couples seeking marriage restoration, emotional reconnection, forgiveness after betrayal, and strength to stay faithful during long seasons of difficulty. They are especially sought by spouses navigating conflict, drifting intimacy, or the slow erosion of trust.

This prayer card honors their sacred partnership and their witness that love can be rebuilt when both hearts surrender to Christ.

Each card is handmade in Austin and created to order. We do not keep stock, because every prayer card is treated as a unique devotional offering. • Saint Peter lived in the thirteenth century as prince of Murom, in what is now Russia. His life changed when he confronted a demonic presence threatening his household. Though victorious, Peter was left afflicted by a severe illness that covered his body with painful sores.

    No one could heal him.

Eventually, he was guided to Fevronia, a young woman of humble origin who possessed both spiritual wisdom and healing knowledge. She discerned Peter’s condition immediately and offered treatment, but asked for marriage in return.

    Peter agreed.

    Fevronia healed him.

But once restored, Peter hesitated. Social pressure and pride tempted him to abandon his promise. Almost immediately, his illness returned. Humbled, Peter sought Fevronia again, this time sincerely. She healed him once more, and he married her, honoring his word.

Their marriage was tested almost immediately.

When Peter ascended the throne, nobles objected to Fevronia’s background and demanded her removal. Peter refused to rule without her and chose exile instead of abandoning his wife.

    They left together.

Soon after, chaos overtook Murom, and the people begged Peter and Fevronia to return. Restored to leadership, they governed with gentleness, prayer, and justice, becoming beloved by the people.

In their later years, both entered monastic life, preparing for death with repentance and peace. They prayed to depart this world on the same day.

    Their prayer was answered.

They reposed together, and according to tradition, their bodies were miraculously found side by side despite attempts to separate them.

Even in death, they remained united.
