Cancer & Serious Illness Saints Prayer Card Bundle — Saint Nektarios, Saint Peregrine, Saint Ezekiel Moreno, Saint Luke the Surgeon & Saint Panteleimon
Five handmade Eastern Catholic and Orthodox prayer cards for those facing cancer, serious illness, and the particular fear that comes when a diagnosis changes everything.
Each card features a full-color icon on the front. On the back: a short historical biography of the saint — who they were, what they suffered or healed, and why the faithful pray to them for cancer and serious illness — followed by a prayer addressed directly to that saint for healing, strength, and peace. Cards are standard holy card size (2.5" × 4.25"), printed on quality card stock, and made by hand in Austin, Texas.
The five saints in this bundle:
Saint Nektarios of Aegina — Eastern Orthodox. The Orthodox world's primary patron of cancer. An unjustly exiled bishop who died in poverty and was vindicated by God — his tomb on Aegina has been associated with documented cancer healings for over a century. Canonized 1961.
Saint Peregrine Laziosi — Roman Catholic. The canonical Catholic patron of cancer. Diagnosed with bone cancer so advanced his leg amputation was scheduled for the next morning — he spent the night in prayer, and his physicians found the cancer gone by morning. Canonized 1726. Invoked for cancer healing for nearly three hundred years.
Saint Ezekiel Moreno — Roman Catholic. The Spanish Augustinian bishop who bore cancer himself and died of it with extraordinary faith. He is the patron not only for miraculous healing but for those living through treatment without a clear end in sight — the saint for patients who are not asking for a miracle but for the grace to keep going. Canonized 1992.
Saint Luke of Crimea, the Surgeon — Eastern Orthodox. A canonized surgeon-bishop who practiced medicine and prayer simultaneously, was exiled three times by the Soviet regime for his faith, and continued operating on patients throughout. For those navigating surgery, chemotherapy, and the full medical complexity of serious illness. Canonized 1996.
Saint Panteleimon the Great Martyr — Eastern Orthodox. The unmercenary physician-healer of the Orthodox world — a trained physician who healed without charge, calling upon Christ as the true source of healing. Patron of doctors, nurses, and the seriously ill for seventeen centuries. Invoked before surgery and in medical emergencies.
These cards are for the patient sitting in an oncology waiting room, for the caregiver who drives to every appointment, for the family member who does not know what to give, and for anyone who needs something physical to hold when the diagnosis has made everything uncertain.
